Ownership
This website and the Readom app are a personal, non-profit project owned by Francisco Muñoz Bersabé, who is also the data controller. For any communication, including exercising your data protection rights, please use the contact form on this site. We do not publish an email address as text here, to avoid automated harvesting by spam senders; the form reaches the same mailbox.
Terms of use
Readom is offered free of charge, with no advertising, no user accounts and no purchases. Access and use are free and create no contractual relationship. This site and its API may not be used in ways that harm their availability, such as automated bulk downloading of the catalogue, which would deny the service to those who depend on it.
Intellectual property
The works in the catalogue are in the public domain: their term of protection has expired and reading, copying and distributing them is free. The Copyright Guardian module applies the term rules of the country you select, but the final assessment of a work’s legal status in your jurisdiction is the responsibility of whoever uses it. The Readom name, its logo, the site design and the application code are not in the public domain.
Liability
The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors. We are not liable for damages arising from use of the service, from being unable to access it, or from the content of the works in the catalogue, which are historical public-domain texts and may contain language or ideas typical of their time.
Applicable law
This notice is governed by Spanish law and by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on data protection. Any dispute falls to the courts of the owner’s domicile, without prejudice to the rights consumer law grants to consumers. You may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency if you believe the processing of your data does not comply with the regulation.
